Solution

1. Create (or edit if it exists) the following ~/.ssh/config file:
   

   Host *
     UseKeychain yes
     AddKeysToAgent yes
     IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa

2. eval "$(ssh-agent -s)" 

3. ssh-add -K ~/.ssh/id_rsa
